I love primitive furniture, and while on the Peachtree 23 yardsale, I ran into my friend Judy, who lives right on the route. This was a wonderful surprise since she has talked about how her house is filled with primitive furnishings and that I needed to see it some day. Well, this was the day, unexpected, but I was excited all the same, I just wish I had more time. I have been to her shop several times and drool over all the wonderful, authentic primitive furniture, cabinets and trinkets she carries. She goes on buying trips to OH, IN and PA several times a year, and I hope I will be fortunate to tag along with her some day.
My main priority of that day was to find as much old, rusty goodness as I could fit into my truck, but I took time out to tour Judy's house. It. was. awesome! I only hope to have some of her style and good primitives in the future.
Even her garden is cute!
Front sitting room. I'll take the Firkin's please!
Other side of the front sitting room.
Guest room
This is a little hard to see. But it's an old buggy seat made into a bench.
Master bedroom with handmade floor cloth on the floor
This came out of a slaves quarters
Very fitting for the 4th of July! So cute!
The mural above the fireplace was beautiful
The table that matched these chairs was outside holding sale items.
The Laundry Room
Loved this wagon on her front porch
I hope to come back someday for an extended stay and take better pictures. I could move into her house; I wonder if she likes dogs.....The shop is more of what you see here. I could move in there too! The whole day was a lot of fun. It was very hot, but full of great surprises and fun to run into people you knew along the way.
Thanks Judy!
