Toy Chest Reduex...

I forgot to take before pictures of this toy box.  Just picture a solid pine, no frills, ugly chest, with a huge amount of spider eggs underneath. It was gross!  I painted it a dove gray and distressed it all over, but more on the edges.  Then I looked at it and hated it. It was too plain. So I stole this star and No idea off of a blog (can't remember which one.) I don't have any stencils this big so I made them. I used the Poor Richard font. Printed them on a piece of paper, covered the paper with packing tape, and cut them out.  This made me want the Silouette machine!  But I was pretty proud of my make do stencils.  I painted the star and numbers with Apple Barrel's Tapestry Wine craft paint and then distressed this too. My stencils weren't perfect, but they worked, and the distressing hides a lot of oops. I don't know why I picked No 12, but when I saw the big 2, I knew it was the one. I just like it, a lot!

This toy box is now playing at Litte Mountain Unlimited just waiting for you!
