Transformed Buffet

This large buffet was purchased about 6 months ago and I finally got around to painting it. I was waiting for inspiration to hit for the right color.  White? No.  Cream? No.  Black? No.  Nothing seemed right, until French Gray came along and said "Yes, Please!"  I saw a chair painted by Freckled Laundry several months ago and new it was the color.  So off to Sherwin Williams I went.  I normally use oops paint from Home Depot or Lowe's, but I wanted the perfect French Gray for this and didn't want to mess with mixing my own.

I wiped it down and got all the cobwebs off since it has been sitting the warehouse for too long.  I already took the drawers out, they aren't missing.  I like to put bigger pices on tri castors so I don't need help moving something this big.  I broke my rule for this piece.  If I can't move it myself, I normally pass on it, but I had to have this!

..And here is the finished piece. I painted the hardware ORB (oil rubbed bronze) of course!  I already have it in my space and loaded up.  I just need to put a finishing layer of wax on it, but I had to move it when I had the help. So I rushed it, but it won't be a problem to finish.  I cheated and primed it with spray primer. It's faster and easier!
